Glycolic Peels now offered at Abrams Dermatology

Abrams Dermatology is now offering glycolic Peels!

We love those peels as they improves acne and acne scarring by removing the layers of breakout causing dirt, bacteria and dead skin cells from face. Glycolic Acid is great for exfoliation as it efficiently remove the outermost layer of dead cells from the complexion, to reveal a brighter and fresher skin.

Glycolic improves texture and appearance of skin by sloughing off layers of skin.  It is effective for blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles as well as skin tone.

Glycolic can penetrate the skin barrier better due to its smaller molecule. It is a superficial peel that will produce a tingling sensation, however it subsides once it is neutralized. The glycolic peel can produce some redness similar to a mild sunburn which may last 3-5 days.

It is important to keep use sunscreen while using glycolic of any hydroxy acid as your skin is more sensitive to the sun.

Sheryl tested the Glycolic peel and she loved it! “My skin is definitely smoother and softer. It tingled a little and I had a few days with my skin peeling off. After 5 days, my skin was glowing and looked rejuvenated.”
